There are several types of collectible autos including antiques, classics, customs and hot rods. These cars are not all the same and your insurance policy should be tailored to the type of car you own. Watch for four important coverages to look for when selecting this specialized insurance.
Agreed Value. Since collectible autos typically appreciate over time, this coverage insures the current market value of your car in the event of physical damage or total loss.
Spare Parts Coverage. Reimbursement for spare parts in the event that they are stolen or damaged.
No Attendance Clause. Your attendance is not required in the event of a loss. So if your car is damaged while on display at a car show, your attendance at that show is not required.
Comprehensive Coverage. Covers non-collision losses such as fire, smoke, windstorm, theft, lightning, hail, animals and vandalism.
